The battery banks are large enough to keep the average boat running without recharging for about 2-3 days at a time and sun and time motoring recharge the batteries.
It is the skipper’s responsibility to monitor the batteries and ensure that they are recharged as needed.
The batteries can be recharged, depending on the boat by:
The alternators on the engines
Solar panels
The battery charger when plugged into shore power. (only available at Marina)
In most cases you will need to run the boats engines (the alternators) for at least 1.5 hours a time to charge.
